Listening on a TCP port?

I must be missing something obvious. How do I get VLC to listen for an incoming stream on a specific TCP port when the origin IP address of the source is not known? I see how to do this for UDP, but not in the TCP case.

I assume when you say TCP you mean a HTTP stream. For HTTP, the address field is used not to describe the requester's address, but to describe which server interface the server should listen on. In most cases, you'll want to leave the address field blank so that requests over any interface are heard. HTTP will accept connections from any origination IP on interfaces it's listening on.

Not exactly. I have a client that will generate a TCP video stream directed to any specified IP address on any specified port. The client's IP address is not known in advance. I'm trying to find a way to cause VLC to accept that connection and inbound video stream. There is no URL, per se.
