HID Command support?

I have a Gyration Media Center remote that I want to use with VLC in windows xp. The remote has a number of keys, but only four are picked up as keystrokes by windows. These are the HID keys:
VolumeUp
VolumeDown
Mute
MediaPlay
I have noticed that VLC already responds to the first three volume-related keys. It does not respond to MediaPlay. I would like to add support for the MediaPlay HID key to act as the pause/play function in VLC.
Could someone look into this or at least point me to the VLC code where Mute and the other volume keys are detected?
I would seem that VLC should handle all HID keys that make sense.

Hi
Did you get any luck with that, I currently have a remote wonder & using that with a key factory plug in allows me to use most of the shortcuts that can be found with VLC.
However the gyration appeals to me but from what I have found I'm not going to get the same functionality with tying in the shortcuts to videolan, am I right?
Example, one of the main things I use is the jump forward 10 second, 1 minute & 5 minutes, I have these assigned to the numeric numbers on the remote wonder, is it possible to assign something similar to the gyration?
Appreciate any reply. Cheers.

The guy at this site claims his software solves this problem. I haven't had time to check it out yet.

Looks good, I just have to decide whether I want to spend £77 odd pounds on a new remote or stick with my remote wonder
Cheers for the pointer though

If you buy a USB MCE Remote or the USB Soundblaster X-Fi remote both work with Intelliremote and are only 30$ USD. So with exchange rates that should be like 15 pounds right?
Intelliremote will definitely solve your problems if you own either a Soundblaster or Microsoft MCE remote and will let you take complete control of VLC. Hope that information helps!

Sorry I know this is an old post but I have Intelliremote working with the Gyration RF MCE Remote now. Feel free to give our latest version a try!
