No Audio in players other than VLC

Ok, after pouring over posts for nearly an hour, I'm forced to go ahead and ask...

After transcoding a file from Xvid to WMV, I have lost audio when using all other players than VLC. All my codecs are installed and up to date. Plays fine in VLC, but I use Windows Media Center to feed files to my XBox 360, and thus have no sound.

File info:

Stream 0
Codec: wma2
Language:
Type: Audio
Channels: 2
Sample rate: 48000 Hz
Bits per sample: 16
Bitrate: 96 kb/s
Stream 1
Codec: WMV2
Language:
Type: Video
Resolution: 624x352
General
Duration: 0:52:56

Any help/thoughts would be appreciated! This is by far the fastest transcoder I've found, and the video quality is tops; hope I can work this out and use it. Thanks in advance!

Figured it out, sorry!

Ok, I figured it out. FYI for other users having this problem - simply change the audio codec to MP3. I did this via command line, now converts beautifully! (I realize this is most likely a simple newbie problem, but hopefully others can learn from it).

WMa audio is handled by ffmpeg in VLC and by Windows codecs in most other players. If you have installed WMP 11 it may play the file but current bugs in WMP 11 may not allow any other players to play its files. Microsoft says they are looking into the problem. We are recommending against WMP 11
