Listen only Unicast

Postby sparky » 30 Oct 2006 13:39

Hi,

Does a Unicast client have a two way communication with the server?

I have run multicast and been able to listen to the video stream using a recieve only ethernet connection.

However when I run Unicast I can see the UDP packets but can't get VLC to re-assemble them. I have tried giving the listener the same IP as the unicast destination. The unicast is received ok at the real client.

Any info or pointers gratefully received.

Thanks

Sorted! - The listener has to have the same mac address as well as IP address otherwise the packets are dropped.
