VLC and Vista 5728 issues

Is anyone else having problems with VLC Media Player in vista ? I get random blue screen's when using it and it's pretty much unusable.
Yes. It is very difficult to use under Vista.
First change the output module to OpenGL and the give VLC all the rights to run.
