problem with mp4 file

ok I downloaded Renkin 3-kyuu Magical? Pokan from Deltaanime in a mp4 file. I opened it on vlc and 2 minutes into the video it causes an error and shuts down. I tried to reprogram the file and when I saved same outcome. half the time It gives me the c+++ error. I don't know what to do! can someone help me?
