Ya! I see this word floating around here quite a bit "Stutter" but this seems to mean different things to different people and is usually associated with speech and NOT Picture.
VLC in most cases (99%) does not have a Stutter problem for audio and or Jitter problem for Video. Given this fact it is unlikely that this problem will be addressed in future versions of VLC.
