Transparent Flash overlay over VLC

Hello there,

I'm having trouble using a transparent Flash movie as overlay over a video played by a Videolan Client. To be more precise: I want to make a presentation showing two TV's (each represented by a VLC) and
pop-up messages (generated by the Flash movie) that appear over the video.

First option that I tried is to build a transparent Flash projector file using
mProjector (which is a tool that transforms an swf file to a windowless, transparent movie. When running 2 VLC's, both playing video, I position the Flash movie over them. Unfortunately the Flash overlay starts to 'flicker' when placed over the video. This only happens when running 2 VLC's at the same time. When running only one, there is no flickering.

Second option that I tried is to do it all in a browser in HTML. I play the video using the VLC plug-in for FireFox. I used the z-index property of the DIV-tag to make the flash movie appear over the video, but the video stays always on top, despite the lower z-index.

Does anyone have other suggestions that might work? Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks very much in advance!

Windows XP
Mozilla FireFox 1.5.0.6
Pentium 4 HT 3.2Ghz, 1024 MB
Videolan 0.8.5

Cheers,
Erik

so with mprojector you were able to overly a transparent flash over the vlc playing a movie?

if so you can you give us more info or an example?

i don't really understand your 2 tv's, u say with one it works but with 2 no?

so maybe give us a better example or screen shot or something

i have found a few solutions that could work but i dont know how to use delphi or c++ to make them

http://www.f-in-box.com/

as well as a the program smart flash

http://www.almdev.com

now from what i been told is this can work, since asking this i have went back to wanting to use vlc rather than kmplayer

http://www.topcmm.com/forum/index.php?topic=2106.0

so you would have to first make the transparent Flash with one of the above and then your projector program
