When I enter X,Y coordinates in preferences>video>Window Properties, and try to establish a default starting position, nothing happens. Height and Width change will work fine, but X,Y window coordinates don't effect window position. Is this working properly?

wxWidgets does not remember windows position. I think that the Windows command is holding alt key while exiting from the menu. The skins2 module does remember windows position. The wxWigets interface is being replaced in the next version by QT4 so you can look forward to some changes.
