Problem playing composite vid with DirectShow

Postby Phikap87 » 13 Jul 2006 15:41

Hello,

I am trying to open a capture device with DirectShow and am getting nothing. I am using a Pinnacle 700 USB input device (Which shows up on the list of devices) and I am setting it up to play locally, but nothing shows up. I can see video through my DV camera when I set it up the same way, even when I plug it in through the Pinnacle DV slot. I used to be able to do this with VLC 0.8.2, but I can't with 0.8.5. Any suggestions?

VLC has added pin selections to the set up section so as to allow compatibility for more cards. Perhaps the default of -1 should be changed to 0 as the default, but you will need to play with this on order to find the related functions of your particular card. :)
