bugs in latest build?

seems like there might be a bug in the latest build...

bug 1: dvd.isActive does not seem to function properly in skins 2...

bug 2: when resetting vlc to defaults... i get the following message:


vlc.exe - Entry Point Not Found
The procedure entry point playlist_CopyParents could not be located in the dynamic link library libcvlc.dll


this problem is under Windows XP, build from June 2, 2006

I am using a skin and experiencing no problems with DVDs or anything else.

The best way to reset the defaults is to erase the preferences directory. C:\Documents and Settings\Owner (this is you)\Application Data\VLC Erase VLC, Application Data is a hidden directory so you will need to make it visible.

i've noticed the dvd.isActive bug too Ipkiss !!!! (or zorglub !!!!)

the second error is definitively due to the recent playlist core changes. (zorglub!!!!) (reporting bugs on IRC when devs are talking is the best way to get them fixed )

Just tried 3 DVDs there were parts of the opening on each that would NOT play within 0.8.5 final and 0.8.5-test4. It just shows a long list of backward PTS in Messages.

Because of this not being a part of the body of the movie I apparently was not missing it.

Two other Bugs concerning the new playlist:
In normal interface the buttons for shuffle, repeat and loop in the playlist window have no function.
In Skins2 Files loaded to the playlist don't appear under Playlist but under Media Library.

The dvd.isActive bug seems to be caused by a conflict between dvd.isActive and the new boolean value LayoutID.isActive. Syntax should be changed.

Concerning the bugs with the playlist, you should know that the playlist has been almost completely reworked since the 0.8.5 release, so not everything is working again.
Hopefully everything will be back for the next release

Bugs related to the skins should rather be posted on the skins forum, because here they can easily stay unnoticed (I don't read this forum much, and AsMaX probably doesn't either ).

The dvd.isActive problem should be easy to fix, i will have a look in the coming days if i find a little time.

The problem with dvd.isActive is fixed in the latest NB.
