I am looking for an Howto setup channels in VLC
My Tuner Card is recognized "Pinnacle WDM PCTV Video Capture"
My sound Card too
After I don't know how to search Channels (I have only blue screen)
I have tried to setup "Device Properties" and "Tuner properties" with and without "tuner country code" = 33 (France), SECAM_L1, "Réglage automatique" for the Tuner.
But no Image
Any help please the world cup is coming

now I can see a Channel "Canal +" but I got to enter manually the channel "63"
Is there an autonatic scan ?

There is NO automatic channel scan. VLC was not intended to be a replacement for your capture cards software.
Many users have found some ingenious methods for doing what they want with VLC.
For example:
You can make a m3u playlist and then switch channel with N and P.
This m3u playlist looks like this when opened in notepad:

how can I change or edit the channels frequency ?, in our country (romania) many channals have diferent frequency ......
Can somebody help me?

The channel number represents the frequency of the broadcast.

I want to change the frequency asociat whit a channel number .....
ex: 19= video freq=151312500
I want to be 19= 154502500
how do this??

Not with VLC. The channel represents the frequency and there is no fine tune as this went out a very long time ago.
VLC was never intended to be a replacement for the software that came with your capture device or TV tuner.

where i find the tabel of equivalent channel = freqvency in VLC ....
I want to watch my favorite channel by streeming on my mobilephone.
(now i can streem only someone tv channel)
(i`m sorry for bad english)

I haven't seen an equivalent frequency --> channel chart in years. Perhaps searching the web will yield better results.

Did you managed to get the frequency list ? I am having the same problem here, browsing by channels yields only to 7 stations from about 50... thanks

is there any solution? i have the same problem! isn't there an array in the source code or something?? it must be possible to tune that card!!

My TV card could scan to all 99 channels or so (New Zealand)and lock (tune) to 13 but lately I go as high as channel 11 (lock to 4 channels). I think this is due to installing the latest Directx (9.0c). Can anyone confirm this or point to somewhere?
BTW: Love VLC.

Hi all,
My problem is that i cant tuner any channel i use
vlc v4l:/dev/video0:norm=1:channel=0:adev=/dev/dsp:audio=0:frequency=51000000 --sout-display
I think that the reason is by the frequency but i dont nowk how obtein a valid frequency
Some idea?
