VLC Runs slow in Windows 2003 Server Edition

Hi,

I have two OS installed, Windows 2000 and Windows 2003. VLC works perfect in 2000 but runs very slow in 2003. I have 576MB RAM and Pentium 3 with 850 MHz. Is there any way it will run normal in 2003 as well ?

It runs fine on my Win2003 Server, Enterprise Edition on a P3-727MHz Dual CPU system...
