This will really work for Video??
The files will play in there split condition??
Assuming they are renamed of coarse IE 001, 002 etc is not exactly acceptable or does it only work when you rejoin them??
How about an indexed file format like AVI?
You may have to rename some filetypes from something like xyz.avi.001 to xyz01.avi to play them after you split them, but they will play -- even in a playlist. Similarly, you can either click/drag files into the joiner, or rename them from xyz01.avi and xyz02.avi to xyz.avi.001 and xyz.avi.002, and let the joiner find them.
They do have to be the same filetypes to be joined, e.g.: you can't comfortably or safely join an .mpeg and an .avi, or even an mpg. and an mp4.
Either way, its still a rather useful tool, and I've used it for @ 3 years...
