Audio and other Information when playing UDP Stream

I connect VLC to some UDP port to which a DVB application sends a single channel with all related streams (video, audio, videotext [ok - not yet working] and some SI tables) in Transport Stream format. As far as I can see this is working quite well.
BUT: if the channel changes while VLC (0.8.4a) is running it seems as if the new SI tables are not scanned. This has some funny effects on teh audio channels (tracks) provided in the context menu. In best case some intermediate numbers are missing (I see track 1 and 3, no 2) or the languages reported are wrong. The worst case is that not all audio tracks are accessible. This happens e.g. when the first channel viewed has only single audio the next some alternate language tracks.
Is there any setting to force VLC to rescan the SI automatically?
Thanx
Jochen
