vlc stability

Postby gboado » 05 Apr 2006 14:12

I tried to test the stability of vlc 0.8.5-test2 playing an udp multicast that was being streamed from another copy of vlc running in the same computer. It worked at first, but I left the computer playing overnight and the vlc that was acting as a player grabbed all the cpu (P4 2.4 Ghz, 512 MB RAM) sometime during the test. I killed the process in the morning and restarted it and it worked (I didn't leave the player working for long time, anyway). The server was working, but it had a problem with the mms streaming (that I reported in other message).
Any ideas?
