Streaming AVI files

Hi,
I am trying to stream a AVI file

- codec: XVID
- resolution: 624x352
- framerate: 23.976790

to my dbox2.

I can hear the sound perfectly but the video is just black. The file works played on my WinXP locally fine only when I try to stream it I get the following message in the message window:

ffmpeg warning: MPEG1/2 does not support 21845/911 fps
(mpeg2video@017146A0)
ffmpeg error: cannot open encoder
stream_out_transcode error: cannot find encoder

it looks lite that some kind of mpeg encoder is missing - but which one? As I can play the file locally - what's wrong?
