Wall image appears brighter

I use the wall feature in vlc quite a lot. I have two lcd's on my desk that are narrow bezzel meant for wall displays. Anyhow I digress...

When I split the video into two columns one of the images always appears 'brighter' then the other one. So one half of the screen is artificially brighter then the other side. I don't quite know how to explain this and just hope that somebody knows what i'm talking about :)

Has this been fixed in a new version of VLC or is there some way to fix this?

Cheers

maybe one of your two screens is just brighter than the other one ?

No. I have calibrated them carefully. But more to the point, I can drag both split segments onto the same screen and see that one has been changed by VLC.

Has no one else noticed this?

One is using Overlay mode, the other not. Usually you can configure the overlay color settings in one of the extra tabs in the Display configuration. it will be provided by your drivers
