Hi, using current windows version 3.0.20 to connect to a Tapo D130 video doorbell. I was having an issue when I started to ask this question but during the process writing it up I stumbled upon the answer. Which is curious. Apparently the Username is Case Sensitive. I normally only think that of the password being like that.
"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" rtsp://MyUSERid:mypassword@192.168.25.20/stream1
For my Tapo D130 Wired Video Doorbell the above string works like a charm. If you substitute your username/password combo and the cameras IP address it should work for you.
Now to figure out how to do this on an apple TV device...
