If using Tray Icon double clicking video/music in Windows 10 doesn't autoplay

When I would double click on a file associated with VLC it would always autoplay, but recently I started using tray icon and I noticed it just puts the file in the playlist and doesn't autoplay. As soon as I changed the settings to not use tray icon it started autoplaying again. Is there a way to use both tray icon and autoplay files by double clicking? This seems like a bug I'm not sure what one has to do with the other.

If I right click and choose play with VLC media player, it loads the video but if I left click it adds to playlist.
