Blue Ray Disk from Synology NAS - no automatic menu start

Postby VLCWalt » 14 Nov 2024 10:58

Hi, I hope someone can help.
Situation with latest VLC 3.0.21 Vetinary version (fresh install) and latest Synology version DSM 7.2.2 from a DS 224+ NAS.
Computer: Windows 10 Pro

I have a Blue Ray disk structure in a directory on the Windows 10 Pro computer.
I can open the 'BD' with VLC Player (media, open media) and chapter selection menu automatically appears, as if I were inserting a Blue Ray disk into a hardware drive.

Then If I have copied exactly this BD directory on Synology DS224+ NAS.
The VLC Player shows me directory structure and files - but menu does not start.
I can start the movie file manually or BD movie starts automatically after about 15 seconds from NAS.
Does the automatic menu start work for anyone or does anyone have an idea about this?
How does the VLC Player mechanism work to start the menu automatically?

Thank you very much in advance!
