Record actions performed on the VLC interface

Hi,

to view the video from my webcam or another video device, I have to go to “Open capture device ...” each time and then select various other options manually.

Is there the possibility of recording all these selections so that I don't have to make them again manually, but call them for example through an desktop icon or a Vlc menu ?

Saving the playlist might work depending which settings you use. Otherwise you have two options: set the settings in prefs, or write a Batch file with the settings on the command line.

The settings I'm using in "Open capture device" are:

1) Capture mode = DirectShow

2) Video device name = HDWebCam or USB2.0 PC CAMERA

3) Audio device = from Default to None

... or write a Batch file with the settings on the command line.

With a .bat file containing all the parameters, I achieved what I needed. Thanks for the suggestion.

Is it also possible to specify the same parameters by changing the desktop icon with which VLC is launched ?
