Preferences menu items too small to read

Bought a new 1440p monitor and now VLC's menu text items are so small I have to put my nose right in front of it to read. I haven't found a way to adjust the text size on the VLC menus (I have set the size of text, apps, etc in Windows 10 to 125% but it doesn't seem to effect VLC). Please tell me this is adjustable as I don't want to reduce the resolution on my pc just so I can read the text in Open Network Stream or General Preferences. Thanks
