Cant stop photos from appearing in My Pictures

I do NOT want VLC tracking my photo files on my PC, but for some reason, JPEG photos are appearing in VLCs Media Player under "My Computer"/"My Pictures", even though I have "Save Recently Played it" unchecked. No video files appear in My Videos although I have many on my computer, but I cant find a way to stop VLC from both a) tracking and b)showing all of my JPEGS in "My Pictures". I cant delete the JPEGS from showing in My Pictures either!!! Extremely annoying. Windows Photo Viewer is set up as my default Photo Viewer/app.

This is my last stop prior to deleting VLC from my computer which I would rather not do as i like it for videos.

Help!!! I am using VLC version 3.0.20 Vetinari on a Windows 10 PC

VLC just shows the content of the picture and video user directories from Windows. It's not tracking anything. You could say that Windows is tracking those, but that's a little far fetched.

If you don't want that, just move the pictures into a different directory, or don't go to My Pictures.

Thanks for replying Remi. I moved the photos into a different directory on my C Drive using Explorer and they disappeared from VLC's "My Pictures". Discouraging you cant choose the directories you want to appear in VLC's Pictures or My Videos within VLC itself.
