VLC stops after being paused and restarted

Hi - when playing a DVD and pausing and restarting it VLC stops the dvd if it has been paused for more than a few seconds - a minute approx. It does this for all my dvds and on two separate dvd players.

Am a pc user windows 11 VLC version 3.0.21 Vetinari
