youtube mp4 to audio only
I was recently looking for a way to convert a youtube music video to an mp3 file to just play the audio as I would like to use Synology's Audio station to play the songs. I downloaded the latest VLC. I went under Media>convert and save. Chose the mp3 file and then chose save. then I chose audio mp3 and under Destination I chose desktop. However, after the conversion it still say mp4 but when I play it in VLC the video portion is gone. Can anyone guide me as I have roughly 700 videos I'd like to make into MP3. TIA

AFAIK you need to manually type the .MP3 extension when saving the destination file.

Tried that but it wouldn't let me. Downloaded a program called Adaptor that did the job a lot easier and faster.AFAIK you need to manually type the .MP3 extension when saving the destination file.
