For an older person who can only handle PCs (Windows) in a very rudimentary way, I need to make a few simplifications.

My request at this point: Double-clicking on a shortcut should play the inserted CD immediately and without any further clicks.

Is this possible, for example, with additional parameters when starting VLC?

You can create a shortcut on the desktop in the following way: click with the right mouse button on the desktop -> New -> Shortcut.
Insert the following path for the shortcut:
"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" cdda:///X:/
where X: is the CD-ROM identification letter, e.g.: D: or E: etc. in your windows system.
