Starting main window position in minimal interface mode

Goal: I'm trying to get the window to consistently open in a size of 634 x 364 pixels.

I've changed settings to 'Start in Minimal View Mode' and disabled 'Resize interface to the native video size'

My issue seems to be that when I start in minimal mode each subsequent opening and closing makes the remembered size smaller vertically until I'm opening postage stamp sized videos.

My workaround has been to set the vlc-qt-interface.ini to read only. However I can't get the initial window size exact and I lose the functionality of recent files.

Any suggestions?
