By not using MPEG-TS. Most programs don't support that file format.

Someone had the same problem, i gave him the advise to use this settings.
Maybe it will work for you, too.

"Encapsulation Method" - "MPEG1"
"Video codec" - "mp1v" - choose the Bitrate
"Audio codec" - "mp3" - choose the Bitrate

yes..but there is a working solution..

The filter uses the push mode to ensure smooth playback of HDTV/SDTV files. The accompanied WMP plug-in features a transport stream editor for A-B cuts which preserves all PIDs and tables.

The source filter allows the selection of individual programs and audio tracks in the stream.

Thanks, but the problem in quite different.
I've to stream a video in udp mode and save the received one.
Later, i need to open the received file with other programs like virtualdub.
So the streaming in udp mode requires MPEG TS, and the received file is unopenable from the other programs...

I also can't use that filter because my case isn't a direct show....

that's impossible with ts/mpg...you have to use VirtualDubMod 1.5.10.1 and you can get it here
