Minibar and other menus

For some reason mini bar vanishes on full screen (currently) and also quite often after changing aspect ratio to fit to screen (video is 16:10 and tv only 16:9) and also no right click menus on full screen and to get menus back I need to exit full screen and after returning to full screen menus vanish again and no minibar either.

Don't exactly need either since can pause/play video so it's just annoyance.

VLC clean installation is quite fresh (from december).

First, reboot your computer, then reset the preferences and cache (the manual way) and try again:

Well that solved that problem (and brought few more which I could solve (history, separate player for all multimedia, max sound, sound reset) except 1).

Now when output is set on automatic part of video (near half a screen) is greened and that green vanishes when switches output to something else like DX9.

No green before resetting prefs and clearing cache.

On Windows 7 and above, the best video output module should be Direct3D 11:

Tools -> Preferences -> Video
Output = Direct3D11
Tools -> Preferences -> Input/Codecs
Hardware accelerated decoding = D3D11 Video Acceleration

Check also this:
https://wiki.videolan.org/VSG:Video:Color_nVidia
You can also try to enable or disable some video options such as Overlay and/or Hardware YUV -> RGB conversions.

Should and should but still isn't, now VLC throws purple and green on screen but not on all vids and before like I said no green or purple so something went wrong wrong on reset and cache clearing. I'd prefer no minibar etc and no purple and green than minibar etc and green and purple on some vids. Maybe I try uninstall and reinstall later.

Disabling YUV HWA didn't change anything.

What is your OS ?
Which VLC version are you using ?
What is your hardware, especially CPU and GPU ?

Please open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2) before you start the playback, and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com or on Justpaste.it if it's too long.

OS: Windows 10 2H22
VLC: Vetinari 3.0.20
CPU: Intel Core I7 4770
GPU: Radeon R290x

(yes both above are old)

Only changes to settings were those mentioned above.

Pastebin: https://pastebin.com/4RF8UabS

On old "VLC" (originally VLC 2.0.5) video plays fine.

Please upload a short sample of your original problematic file to WeTransfer.com or Disroot.org and then post the link to the file here.
https://wetransfer.com
https://upload.disroot.org

If needed cut it with DGsplit and read here about how to do it:
https://forum.videolan.org/viewtopic.ph ... 35#p193335
200 MB max should be enough but a full complete short file is better.

Well ................... here's of-file 3MB split https://upload.disroot.org/r/rbus0zGE#Q ... NCB7E7AgQ= if you need longer then has to change file (1 of other affected files is just under 7.5MB).

Many vids suffer from same no matter type, even FLVs, MKVs, not just MP4s which have worked in past fine (different versions of VLCs (actual not other ports)).

No playback problem for me with your sample file using D3D11, no green screen at all.
It might have something to do with your Radeon graphics card, there are other reports about this brand:

Well it has issues but why everything besides minis worked fine before resetting everything?

I'll do clean install someday and try again.

Well uninstalled and re-installed VLC and no change (clsred caches etc twince since could uninstall VLC even 1 instance was open) so go figure what went "right" on december installation and what went "wrong" on reseting cache and prefs. With opengl output all works as before.

Either there are no minibar on OpenGl output or VLC bugs (or hates my computer) when new video is opened on same window as previous video ended.
