Synchronizing Subtitles

I have allways had a problem with subtitles that are not synchronizing. When I have a delay of, let us say 6 sec, then, no matter how high I set this in the tool menu, it simply never reacts to that. There is no saving the new settings or anything similar. All I can do is set the synchronisation to as much as I want, when I return to watch the movi,e the delay remains 6 seconds, even if I set it to twenty.
This is a real nuisance... Ho does that work ???

Thank you

If you mean preferences, they only apply after you stop the current playback. It's a bad idea to change it there as it will affect all subtitles in the future.

No, sorry, that is not the way it is. I tried everything, I even restartet the computer in between. Nothing works.
It was like that with Win 7, and I thought that was the reason, but this is the latest 11 and still... NO reaction

It usually works very well, but with some movies...

By the way, this morning, when I opened this page, I was not able to get in, I was totally blocked, because of my IP.
Maybe your sec system needs to be told that there VPNs on some computers? And it really won't help blocking those numbers...

Thank you.

Hi,

You mean that you can change delay synchronization but it's not registered for later playback? If so, that's "expected", VLC 4 will store the delay to the medialibrary but before that there's no way to persist the settings.

Sorry, but some IP ranges are used a lot for spamming and get blocked because of that.
