MP3 Audio Streaming Problem

Hi,

I've been having problems whilst trying to listen to mp3 (320k) files from my NAS, located on my LAN. I've checked network connection as well as speed tested locally and there's no problems on the network. I've made a small video recording of the problem. NAS is on a gbit ethernet, connected to a wireless router at 801ac wireless. The problem only occurs ONLY on 320k mp3 files and not on FLACs.

So, size isn't the problem. It's somehow related to network streaming of Mp3 files.

I have tried increasing the Input / Codecs > Advanced > Network Caching size, but it once again re-buffers when the cache is all used. It looks like it's not buffering automatically whilst playing. Is there a solution for this?

Here's the video of the problem: https://www.veed.io/view/d7de3ead-0f0f- ... idget=true

Don't use SMB. It sucks for streaming. And yes, this can affect lower bandwidth streams. HTTP or FTP should work fine.

If you can't change protocol, increase the buffer size of the prefetch module to more than the size of any of your MP3s.

But the problem is only occurring whilst trying to stream Mp3 files on SMB. On the otherside, it's not happening in FLAC files at all. That's a bit weird because FLAC is much larger file compared to mp3 :?:
