It was working last night, but today for some reason when I open the player and play a video, it loads the amount of time, lets me change the settings, but it won't play. It is stuck on play, but the pause button is visible, but it won't pause, it won't play, it won't do anything but stay black.

In addition, when I try to open a video file directly with a right click and open with VLC player, it doesn't do anything. I can open the program directly, but it doesn't play anything.

Another issue I noticed, is I cannot delete any video files because it says it is open in VLC player even after I closed it. When I uninstalled the program, after I reinstalled it, it said it had to close the current session before finishing the installation, and the program wasn't even on my computer when it said that.

Reboot your computer and try again.
