Hearing .wav files from the beginning

Hi there,

I am an producer of music and I use VLC as a quick rehrearsal tool. My songs have all 0.5 sec silence at the beginning. when eg burned on CD there is no problem, but when hearing with VLC the beginning is cutted about 1 sec so that the songs do not begin at the real beginning.

any suggestions?
