MXF Time

MXFs do not seem to show accurate duration during playout in VLC. Videos will start normally and show duration, but fast forwarding through a video is not accurate. A video will start sequentially and then lose its place and then when trying to scrub back to the start of the video will show duration based on where the video was and not the actual duration. In addition it does not show full duration of video. I'm wondering if anyone else has had a problem with mxfs not showing accurate duration. Note that this is amongst all Windows users of VLC locally.
In addition I'm wondering if there is a way to view Timecode specifically for mxfs. I've determined via MediaInfo that mxf assets have TC but I don't see it viewable in VLC.
Thanks.

Please open Tools -> Messages (set Verbosity to 2)
before you start the playback, and then paste the
full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com or on Justpaste.it if it's too long.
Also upload a
short sample of your
original problematic file to WeTransfer.com or Disroot.org and then post the link to the file here.

The video is a screen capture showing the behaviour, but we need an original problematic file to be able to reproduce the problem.

I can reproduce the full duration missing issue while it's working fine with other players.
You should create a new report ticket on the VLC issues tracker with your above report, the links to your files and the link to this thread:

If possible, because of this:

Thanks for the follow up. I'm not seeing the connection between the issue I outlined and the twitter issue detailed in the second link. Am I missing something?

It's not about Twitter, it's my post about problems when creating an account at code.videolan.org.
