"The Output File Already Exists. If Recording Continues The File Will be Overridden...

Postby Audiophile551 » 22 Jan 2024 16:33

Hi,
I'm new here, and really appreciate this forum. I hope someone can please help me with this problem I am having, and really appreciate you taking the time to read this.

I'm trying to synchronize a professional home made video of a band with a separate audio track using VLC Player. I went to YouTube to get directions on how to do this. I followed the directions, and went through the motions, and when I got to the end where we click on "Start" to create the video with sound, something happens that isn't included in the YouTube video, where where clicking on "Start" opens VLC where I can watch the progress, but a "Warning" window pops up that reads:

" The output file already exists. If recording continues, the file will be overridden, and its contents will be lost." Two tabs are included.
One reads "Overwrite", the other one reads "Keep existing File".

Does anyone know what I am doing wrong?

Thanks ever so much.

Steve
