VLC activates and starts randomly in many instances without touching any media file or keyboard. I have win10 64 bits and the latest version of VLC on 64 bits. I uninstalled and reinstalled it again and reset the VLC configuration in the settings. I scanned with defender and 360 Total Security and the PC is clean.

VLC itself doesn't have such feature. So it must be launched by something else like a scheduled task.
