How do I put it back the way it was please ?

I think I have tried just about every setting I can find with no luck.

Thanks very much for looking.

Native style vs. custom skin, save settings and restart VLC.

Hi Gruko, thanks for taking rh time to read my question and reply, appreciated.

I think my settings are as you suggest (see pic) but my screen still looks the same as I indicated above. I tried changing to a skin and back again but no luck. Maybe you could check my settings in the pic and let me know if you think I have set them correctly.

In Videolan start menu folder, there are the following links:

VLC media player
VLC media player - reset preferences and cache files
VLC media player skinned

Try to restore preferences and make sure not to open the media player skinned.

Hi Gruko - thanks for sticking with me !

I think it was all my own fault (not surprising), I think the link I had was a link to start VLC in 'skinned' mode. I did as you suggested and ran the link (I had also swapped from 32 to 64 bit at some stage and my links were messed up), and everything looks as I would expect. I have amended all my links now to reflect the 64 bit usage.

Anyway, my own fault and thanks for the help, much appreciated.
