Any way to retain videos but exclude audio files from history?

Postby David4321 » 16 Jul 2023 07:09

I use VLC constantly, for both audio and video files, and frequently want to return to a movie I was watching, and couldn't complete - but if I have played and album or two's worth of audio tracks, the history of my movies is wiped. I have multiple reasons why in my case, I would value an extended history of videos I have played, but I don't care about audio history. I understand that Windows also keeps a history of recent files, and it's probably those I'm seeing when I right click player in task bar - but I'm not really sure where VLC and Windows history are stored and accessed, and where applicable. It would be very helpful to retrieve extended history from either source (ideally, even surviving restart), and/or exclude audio files from either.

Thanks.
