playlist plays in random order

Hello --- In the past VLC did the "right thing"
My music folders are arranged by artist / album / tracks
and each trace in in the form <nn> <title> where <nn> is the track number, ie 01 .... then the title of the track
in addition the "tag" "track" also has the track number 1, 2, ....
but when I pay any of these folders in vlc the track don't play on track order but some random order ---
how do I get VLC to pay the content of the folder in track order?
