Win7 VLC crashed when playing audio CD

I tried to play an audio CD, and VLC crashed. Repeatedly. I noticed the starting track was number 0, when I changed it to 1, VLC played it and stopped. When I clicked the next button in the playlist, the VLC crashed.

Win10 and VLC atleast started playing well, and Win7 Winamp works well too.

I have a newest 3.0.18 Vetinari VLC on Windows 7/32. The VLC says it is the current version.

Reset the preferences (the manual way) and try again:

Thank you, but no luck. VLC crashed again. I would say: the same way as before.

Run VLC with this command line for creating a log file:

Code: Select all

vlc --extraintf=logger --verbose=2 --logfile=C:\temp\vlc.log --logmode=text --file-logging

and then paste the full resulting log here or on Pastebin.com or on Justpaste.it if it's too long.

Make sure you have full access rights to the destination path.

When I added the "--extraintf=logger --verbose=2 --logfile=C:\temp\vlc.log --logmode=text --file-logging" string to the desktop shortcut, the VLC worked normal. The VLC crashed without it, and from an elevated command prompt. I got two logs now.

If these don't work I'll put them on DropBox

Is it doing the same with every CD or just one ?
Also try to play it without internet access.

Sorry about this delay in answers, I was busy elsewhere.
I tried with an other CD and the VLC crashed with it too. If I chose only audio CD, and nothing else VLC crashed immediately. If chose audio Cd and track one, that was played. And when I pressed next track repeatedly, the VLC crashed. The second track did not start play.
Internet connection didn't seem to have an effect.
