I was listening to a substack audio and it was not loud enough so I got VLC to play it.
That is playing a stream I guess, right?
Well how do I get VLC to save it to my hard drive.
It is this one: https://marksleboda.substack.com/p/zele ... il#details

p.s. I see now I could have downloaded the file directly from the substack thing. Fine. So the question now becomes academic. But it's still a question isn't it? I might really need it some day...

VLC can record what it can play.
For recording a stream just click on the Record button. For showing up the Record button: menu View then tick Advanced Controls.
Or right click on the VLC window then click on the Record item in the contextual menu.

Thanks for that. Proved myself unobserving and dull twice in a row haven't I? Thank god for the internet... :)
