Win11 Can't Cast Anymore

Hi, I'm having a huge issue with trying to cast from VLC to my chromecast device on my T.V. My device is being picked up but when I select it only the file name shows up on the T.V and a black screen.

I've tried resetting everything and nothing is working. I've downloaded previous versions and updated versions of VLC and nothing works. Can somebody please help?

I had this problem ages ago it was resolved but I can't recall what the solution was, but recently it resurfaced when I upgraded to wifi 6 on my laptop. Even though the chromecast is on the same network on wifi5, when my laptop was connected to the wifi6 ssid, casting had the same symptoms you described. When I switch my laptop back to wifi5 it worked properly again.
