I have "VLC" in the top left corner
What exactly do you mean ?
Is it some kind of overlay (on screen display) or in the title bar (titel of the window) ?

Did you try to reset the preferences ?

I just reset the preferences. Thats done it.

It was an overlay in the video screen. Before it was "MARQUEE", then i got the latest version and it changed to "VLC".

Thanks alot. It was annoying the hell out of me.
