I need registry hack for Windows 11

Hi All,

Windows 11 has placed "NoOpenWith" registry setting that keep you from re-registering certain multimedia files to non-M$ programs, such as VLC. (They did the save thing with Photo and graphic files.) And to add insult to injury, under Windows 10, you could go in an make a blanket change registering multimedia files to VLC. Now you have to re-register each extension one at a time.

Anyone know of a registry hack that will 1) remove the "NoOpenWith" and 2) do a blanket re-register multimedia files to VLC?

Many thanks,
-T

See: https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/previo ... 8(v=vs.85)

AFAIK you have to reregister files individually in Windows 11 now. See: https://www.ghacks.net/2021/12/05/micro ... indows-11/

Sorry for the late response. I did not not get a notification in my eMail.

You repeated what I already know and stated. I was looking for a registry file I could throw that would register everything all at once. Sort of like what IrfanView does with their installer.
