VLC 3.0.17.4 bookmarks problem

In VLC 3.0.17.4 for Win10 I created a list of Bookmarks and saved the playlist. Later, when I reloaded the playlist, none of the bookmarks were there. Can anyone help?

EDIT: there's a vlc addon you can use as well: https://addons.videolan.org/p/1718547

To install:

1. Download the file called vlc_permanents_bookmarks.lua and change the extension to luac.
2. Place it in this location: %ProgramFiles%\VideoLAN\VLC\lua\extensions\
3. To use click "View" on the top vlc toolbar and you'll find it in the list.
