Access video from USB attached to network

Hi all.
After using VLC trouble free to view videos on various networked Windows 10 and 11 pc's from a NAS, I now trying to replace the NAS with a large Hard Drive (18TB) attached to my router. Accessing the files on the drive works fine when it is attached to a PC but I get an error when trying to access the drive when attached by usb to the router. DLNA and File Sharing are turned on in the router, a Sagemcom f@st 5366 tn, Oddly, not all files are visible in windows explorer when attached to the router - something that I will take up elsewhere. But I was hoping a forum member might be able to help with the error that led to the following log, when playing a video from the drive when attached to the network. Same error occurs with all video files:

- Set Verbosity to 2
- Start playback to reproduce your issue
