Cannot cast to Chromecast with Google TV

This is just for a x264 1080p short video
I Do 'Playback > Renderer > select 'Chromecast''. The chromecast device seems to start loading, but it stays like this permanently.
Did I miss any setting?

Officially not supported by Google anymore:

That doesn't mean to say it won't work, but it doesn't help.
Try resetting preferences and then check whether it makes any difference or not:

Sorry.. what exactly is not supported? Can you quote from the link above?
In case it's not clear, I'm trying to cast from 'VLC on Windows' to 'Chromecast with Google TV' device.

Oh.. tx. But my CCWGT is already setup.
The problem I have is just streaming to it.

According to the last post in this long running thread on the subject Windows Defender is blocking the signal:

Otherwise try some of the other suggestions in the same thread where a few users were able to get it working (works for some, but not others).
