Audio increases pitch as speed increases.

Postby Blort » 14 Sep 2021 16:29

I noticed 3 days ago that playing videos over 1x speed changed their pitch. I could offset this by turning down the "semitones adjust pitch".

I deleted the newest VLC and redownloaded 3.0.12.

After doing so the problem went away.

I shut down my computer and when I turned it back on, the problem persisted.

Is there a setting I am missing so that the video automatically offsets this like it used to, or is it a bug? It is really annoying to have to adjust for every video.

Make sure to enable Time Stretching Audio option in Menu Tools -> Preferences -> Audio

After the changes save the preferences then exit and restart VLC.
