Postby Apache060 » 06 Jul 2021 17:33

Hello,

I am running the latest version of VLC but have the following problem with play mp4 video files. When VLC opens the file only get half the picture on the screen the bottom half of the screen is green the the tile of the file.

Is there a way to get VLC to show the whole picture in VLC.

Any help would be appreciated

Hit Ctrl + P to open preferences in vlc and then click the Input / Codecs button. Where you see "Hardware-accelerated decoding" at the top change it from "Automatic" to "Disable". Save, exit and restart vlc.

If that fails to fix the problem, reset preferences and then try again: https://wiki.videolan.org/VSG:ResetPrefs
